==Political Career==
probablynotacriminal’s political career began when they were chosen to join the Campfire Council. They would use the current instability of the council to break down the members into two factions, fighting with each other.

From there, they would position themself as a neutral mediator, which would allow them to become Head of the Campfire Council. Slowly, they would limit the power of the Campfire Council, eventually they would create the new title of Sovereign of Emberland, with themself being the titleholder, and move the remaining power from the Council over to the crown.

==Attempted Assassination==

On the 23rd of April, 2025, at around 1pm NZST, an attempt upon the life of Sovereign probablynotacriminal was made.
The Sovereign had been out gathering wool, in order to create banners for the entrance. They saw a sheep standing around halfway up a hill, and, needing but one more wool, seeing this sheep as the last remaining piece in the creation of banners. The sheep, who is believed to be connected to the terrorist organization ''Front for a Democratic Emberland'', would then violently attack probablynotacriminal, sending them rolling down a hill. As the sheep continually refused to cooperate, the decision unfortunately had to be made to kill them.

It is speculated by [[Marcy Sheikah]] and [[theidealist]], that this sheep may have been the deceased leader of the [[Questionable Party]], [[Lêdyew Čilya]]. However, the timelines do not line up, as Čilya had been killed a day previous. [[theidealist]] even went so far as to claim that the sheep was in fact a reincarnation of the Kyawcenni political figure.

probablynotacriminal has publicly stated that these sheep were unrelated, quote:

The Democratic State of Emberland (Local name: . . . . . /ə ə ə ə ə/), or Emberland (. . .) for short, is a nation along the Sea of Enkavak, and located on the continent Tardigardia.

==Etymology==
The name Emberland is an English translation of the local name, where the nation is referred to as . . . /ə ə ə/ in the local language of . . /ə ə/ (Literally meaning ‘voice idea’). The local name ‘. . .’ literally means ‘ground fire place’.

==History==
A group of people, from unknown origin, later referred to as the ‘fire path people’, arrived at the location that would become the capital settlement of Flamepoint (. .). These people would build a collection of small mud buildings surrounding a large flame pit, which would become the namesake of the Campfire Council

==Government==
While The Democratic State of Emberland may refer to itself as democratic, it is widely considered to be an extremely undemocratic state, and this is explicitly stated by the Front for a Democratic Emberland, with only a figurehead democratic system.

The real power lies in the position of Sovereign, and whoever may hold that title has complete control over the nation. The current, and first, Sovereign is probablynotacriminal. This position is an unelected title, with the successor being decided by the current Sovereign.

The Democratic system still technically exists in the form of the Campfire Council, however every action they make must be explicitly approved by the Sovereign, who can deny any and all actions. All members of the council elected, however the Sovereign may deny any person from gaining their seat, and can replace them with whomever they want.
