The exact founding date has been lost to oblivion but it was presumably the same day or day after. Later, a Nether portal on the roof was made, but due to linking issues the overworld counterpart was made under the island to the west of Birchill. A [[Venrail]] line was constructed to link Birchill to the Nether roof portal. When Birchill was claimed by Stej Ven, Viklo removed the portal under the island to the west and the Nether floor portal, and relinked the Nether roof portal so that it led directly to Birchill proper.
