	The Duzhauzech Parish was given to the Realm of Madness during the [[Amujxplosion]]. This happened at the same time that the Realm of Madness was looking to expand its borders and create a region to potentially generate a pale garden in its borders after the [[Nguhcraft Winter]] update. Its new territory, which included Duzhauzech, was named the Wacky West.

	Due to the well-known instability of CMC's claims, the Realm of Madness chose to keep Duzhauzech distinct from the rest of the Wacky West, eventually renaming it Abstinence after the law mandating Denizens of Madness to abstain from building permanent structures there in case a potential post-Amujan state headed by CMC were to desire that land again.

	Eventually, CMC expressed that they no longer wished to re-obtain Abstinence. The law requiring people to abstain from building permanent structures was no longer necessary, but wanting to keep the name, the Realm of Madness enstated a new law requiring that anyone inside the region must abstain from using the [[w:Copula_(linguistics)#:.7E:text.3DIn_linguistics.2C_a_copula_.2F.27.2Ccooperative..22_The_word_copula_derives\|grammatical copula]], referencing the practice of abstaining from [[w:Sexual_intercourse\|copulation (sexual intercourse)]].
