It was originally founded as Mäs’cüzes (Massachusetts) with the express purpose of creating a toll road from the East Continent to the West Continent called “The Massachusetts Turnpike.” Since then it became somewhat of a cultural center for the people who would eventually be come to known as the Ma Kawäbade (people of the Singinglands).
