== History ==
The NWEU was formed on the 1st of May, 2024. The group has yet to meet in person, however many events have happened in its history.

=== The Hüte Incident ===
On the 4th of May, the Office of Monetary Affairs issued an emergency announcement that halved the backing value of copper from 1:160 to 1:320, meaning that the Hüte also halved in value. Two days later, the office issued a further announcement that the backing value of copper (after a survey) had halved once more to 1:640. This sent the Hüte into freefall. This required the formation of the Kang, which is to become the official currency once the mint is opened.
