He subsequently blockaded the entire north end of the Scarecrow Strait from Bar Harbor to Eager, causing significant issues for worldwide trade. Later he also encircled the lighthouse island of Puoria. A diplomatic spat occurred when journalists from [[Tauranga Puawai]] accidentally destroyed an XRN cannon boat that was blockading Puoria, but Akuv Ngu forgave.

			The government of Xarslasja turned out to be its own worst enemy. In mid-April, [[Jodai Wemmi]] was removed from office, and she fled to Pua for political asylum, feeding into rumours that she was a "Puan Puppet" all along. Ngu then became the acting head of government, and he proceeded to arrest insubordinate members of the [[Xarslasja Legislature]], effectively ending the institution.

			Ngu, too, would end up dead on May 4th after being stampeded in a riot during his "goodwill tour" of [[Coconino County]]. By this point, he had been in direct negotiations with Pua, mostly discussing land swaps that could pacify Xarslasja's citizenry and end any border disputes with Pua, who he still saw as an overall friendly nation. With his death, Dmacixuv [[Sjarm Adax]] was the closest thing to a head of government, so he proceeded rapidly with the peace deal with Pua.

			Pua was willing to end the conflict and give Xarslasja its landswap request, so long as the eastern half of Santa Cruz County and the strategically-valuable island of [[Bar Harbor]] went into Puan control. Sjarm Adax was very reluctant to give away Bar Harbor, and so demanded [[Puoria]] (which had once been part of Xarslasja as "Peoria" anyway) and some chunk of land out east in the Acacialands. He originally hoped to acquire Sun City, but eventually the two parties agreed on the mountainous northernmost section of [[Whenua-Kāo-Ua Oblast]], so long as the two countries cooperated in the ambitious project of digging a canal for river transport at the new border.

			Sjarm then made an unusual request: to reestablish a legitimate government that could keep Xarslasja together, there needed to be a valid reason to declare the old government fully null and void. The result of this request was a 51-minute-long "annexation" of all of Xarslasja by Pua on the evening of May 6th, 2026. For these 51 minutes, the "51-Minute Megapua" was by far the largest country on [[Ngearth]]. After it was dissolved, the new "People's Republic of Xarslasja" emerged with the newly agreed-upon borders.
