			Unfortunately, the city today is essentially a ghost town. The city was one of the central headquarters for the XPA and [[Gu Sabah]] during the [[Gu Sabah Insurgency]] in late 2024-early 2025. When it became clear that the [[Xarslasja Legislative Authority]] would soon beseige the city, the villager population was evacuated to the nearby town of [[Naco]].

			During the [[Battle of Tucson]], the Oak River was blockaded and weeks of bloody conflict ensued. Many buildings were destroyed by TNT cannons and dozens of fighters died. The XPA building was razed and several towers were obliterated. Ultimately, Gu Sabah was captured in a tunnel between Tucson and Naco and the XPA was defeated and abolished.

			Damaged buildings were given basic repairs to maintain structural integrity and safety for future visitors, but the city was left essentially abandoned.

			The [[Nogales-Arcosanti Line]], which was rendered unusable during the battle, was rerouted around the TNT craters and battle trenches, thus passing directly through the ruins of Tucson. There is now a rudimentary stop at the original Tucson gate, though not many visit the site.

			As of late 2025, Tucson is still largely abandoned. A few villagers returned to the south end of the city and constructed some farms in areas of former forest that were burned during the battle.
