'''<span lang="vi" dir="ltr">Tiến lên</span>''' (<span lang="vi" dir="ltr">Tiếŋ lêñ</span>, literally "Advance") is a card game originating from [[Adnar]]. It is a card-shedding game, played with a standard deck of playing card (without jokers) and 2–4 players.

It is said that [[Big Amogus]] was extremely good at <span lang="vi" dir="ltr">Tiến lên</span>.

== Objectives ==
The objective of the each player is to be the first player to get rid of their entire hand.

== Card Ranking ==
The suit of cards matter in this game. The hearts (<span lang="vi" dir="ltr">cơ</span>, symbol&nbsp;<code>♥</code>) is the highest suit, followed by diamonds (<span lang="vi" dir="ltr">rô</span>, symbol&nbsp;<code>♦</code>), then clubs (<span lang="vi" dir="ltr">chuồŋ</span>, symbol&nbsp;<code>♣</code>), then spades (<span lang="vi" dir="ltr">bích</span>, symbol&nbsp;<code>♠</code>), which is the lowest suit. The <code>2</code> (commonly called <span lang="vi" dir="ltr">heo</span> "pig") is the highest rank, followed by <code>A</code>, <code>K</code>, <code>Q</code>, <code>J</code>, <code>10</code>, <code>9</code>, <code>8</code>, <code>7</code>, <code>6</code>, <code>5</code>, <code>4</code>, and finally <code>3</code>, which is the lowest card. When two cards are compared, the rank is compared before the suit, so a <code>5♠</code> defeats a <code>4♥</code>. When two combos are compared, the highest ranking card of each is compared.

=== Simple Combos ===
The following combos may begin a new round. All plays in a round must follow the same combo. Cards in a straight do not need to be of the same suit or color.

* Single (<span lang="vi" dir="ltr">rák</span>): A single card.
* Pair (<span lang="vi" dir="ltr">đôi</span>): Two cards with the same rank.
* Three of a Kind (<span lang="vi" dir="ltr">ba</span>): Three cards with the same rank.
* Straight (<span lang="vi" dir="ltr">xãñ</span>): Three or more cards with consecutive rank. The <code>2</code> may not be involved in a straight.


=== Chops ===
Chops may be used in response to a <code>2</code> and other bombs, called chopping (<span lang="vi" dir="ltr">chặt</span>), overriding the combo used in the current round. Chops may not involve a <code>2</code>.

Chops may chop weaker chops. The ranking of chops are: three-pair double straights < four of a kind < four-pair double straights. The three-pair double straight can only chop a single <code>2</code> and lower three-pair double straights. The four of a kind and four-pair double straight can chop up to a pair of <code>2</code>. A three of a kind of <code>2</code> cannot be chopped.

Chops may be played to begin a new round. 

* Double Straight (<span lang="vi" dir="ltr">đôi thôŋ</span>): Three or four pairs with consecutive rank (five or more pairs cause an instant win).
* Four of a Kind (<span lang="vi" dir="ltr">tứ wí</span>): Four cards with the same rank.


=== Instant-Win Combos ===
Possessing the following combos before any playing causes the player to instantly win the game (<span lang="vi" dir="ltr">tới trắŋ</span>):

* Five-Pair Double Straight: Five pairs with consecutive rank.
* Six Pairs: Six pairs of any rank.
* Four of a Kind of <code>2</code>.
* Dragon Straight: A 12-card straight from <code>3</code> to <code>A</code>.
* All red cards (<code>♥</code>/<code>♦</code>) or all black cards (<code>♣</code>/<code>♠</code>).





Additionally, on the first game, or the next game after a player had instantly won, the following combos also allow an instant win:

* Four of a Kind of <code>3</code>.
* Double Straight involving a pair of <code>3</code>.


== Play ==
Shuffle a deck of card and deals each player 13 cards. Remaining cards are not used.

On the first game, or the next game after a player had instantly won, the player holding a <code>3♠</code> goes first and must incorporate that card into their starting play. If nobody has the <code>3♠</code>, the player with the <code>3♣</code>, <code>3♦</code>, then <code>3♥</code> goes first. On subsequent games, the winner of the previous game goes first. Turn order is clockwise.

The game is played in rounds. At the beginning of each game, or after the previous round, the current player may play any combo, which becomes the combo of the round. All other players must play combos that defeat the previous one to stay in the round. Straights must match the length of the first straight.

If they can’t or don’t want to, they are out of the round and cannot respond to other plays during the round. When all players except one are out of the round, that player begins the next round by playing any combo. If this player already ran out of cards, the next player in round begins the next round.

When one player is out of cards, they win, but the game continues until only one player has any cards left. That player loses. Start a new game with the first winner going first. If the losing player is found to have unused <code>2</code>s and/or chops in their hand, they receive additional punishments.
