Fenizuela, officially the Heavenly Empire of Fenizuela, sometimes spelled as Phoenizuela, is a large arid ŋation located in eastern Thasusa on the Sea of Enkavak.
Etymology
The name of the country was first documented when, in 2024, a company of Fishlandic merchants passed by the area; the arid climate and architectural style reminded them of the mythical thalassocracy of Phoenicia, and so they named the area Feniziola, or "Little Phoenicia." Fenizuela's inhabitants adopted the name bestowed upon them by the Fishlanders, translating it into their native Spanish as Fenizuela. Fenizuela is not to be confused with the real country of Venezuela, whose name bears a similar origin.
In English, there are two acceptable spellings of the country's name: Fenizuela is the more common spelling that is derived from the Spanish name, while Phoenizuela is a secondary spelling which is more faithful to the Phoenician etymology of the name.

Natural
Fenizuela is almost entirely taken up by arid biomes like desert or badlands. The provinces of Nueva Cerdeña and Nueva Melita, however, are predominantly jungle and sparse jungle respectively. They are the only two provinces that receive consistent rainfall. The country has a very tropical climate; it is surrounded entirely by warm or lukewarm ocean, and only hosts hot biomes, both lush and arid.
Fenizuela hosts a complex estuarine system to the southwest known as the Levantine Sound that largely exists within the Chiricá and Ensenadas provinces. The sound connects to the Sea of Enkavak by way of the Kog'eññe Strait around the center of the country.
Colonists from Wánade introduced pale trees to the country when they planted them in the port city of Cartagena. Following the establishment of the condominium there, Fenizuela gained access to the pale trees, whose wood was used in the construction of the Los Jardines building in the Bahías province.
