Håmazát

Håmazát (𐬖𐬁𐬨𐬀𐬰𐬀𐬀𐬙; romanized: X́åmazát/Xhaomazaat; /ɣɒmaʐa:t/) is the language spoken in the country of Kabazat.

Lateral		ɬ

Rounded and long vowels are grouped together with their unrounded counterparts. The schwa has no rounded counterpart while the rounded counterpart of a is ɒ.

Gemination

When a consonant comes after a long vowel in a closed syllable, the consonant is geminated (no in the table) and the vowel is made short.

Labialization

When x ɣ or ħ comes before an unrounded vowel they become labialized.

Prelabialization of Vowels

Rounded and unrounded vowels in word initial positions become prelabialized if the previous word ends in an unvoiced consonant, and when at the begining of a sentence.

Rising and Dipthongisation of Long Vowels

When long vowels are in unstressed open syllables they rise (ə: a: > ɨ: ɛ:) and dipthongize (i: ɯ: > əi̯ əʊ̹; ʊ̹ is rounded but the diacritic here is tiny).

β-Fluid

β can:

• become v when more than 75% of vowels in a word it resides in are unrounded or it's word-initial or -final.
• become b when at least 25% of vowels in a word it resides in are rounded.
• remain β when none of the above apply.

The above does not apply when:

• it resides in proper native nouns or nativized nouns.
