Šihayxden (Kyawcenni: /ʂiχ.ajç.dɛɰ̃/, Cuwt:ltan: Dan:mai [dán.mǎi]), locally often called Ayxdenne ( /ajç.dɛ.nɛ/), is a small town and municipality in southern Shingtsun, Kingdom of Kyaw Cen. It was built by the Chirean population of Shingtsun on 28 February 2025.
Etymology
Šihayxden is Kyawcenni for rose bush. This is because the town was built in a valley with lots of rose bushes, which are considered a unique heritage symbol of the village.
The colloquially used name Ayxdenne, literally meaning of the spikes, is a shortened version of Šihayxden with the genitive suffix -ne that is commonly used in town names. When declined, the -ne suffix is dropped and the name is treated like the word ayxden (spike).
