Hipástían is the god of the forge, disciple of Lãngi and creator of Cepalkílen's thunderous javelin, The Truth. He was initially a mortal, but when he was taught the nature of thunder by Lãngi the gods quickly captured him and made him the god of the forge to prevent him from being able to spread the secret any further. He lives in lament of the craft whose acquisition was taken from him, and has not ignited his forge since attaining godhood.
