Byukyi (Kyawcenni: /bjy.tɕi/) is a village in Shingtsun, Kyaw Cen, south of Esasne.
On 6 June 2026, the construction of Yija International Airport was finished in the southwest of the municipality.
On 16 June, the municipality became a member of the unung.
Name
Byukyi is the Kyawcenni word for empty. The village was named that way because because it seemed like an uninhabited, empty village.
