Grass Island is the easternmost island in the Showhen Islands and the only one that is solely part of the Kingdom of Kyaw Cen. In early 2024 it used to be part of the Republic of Marcyland before the establishment of the Territory of the Showhen Islands on 24 July 2024, when it was transferred to the newly established federal subject. The island makes up its own Unorganized Territory called the East Showhen Islands Unorganized Territory.
