It borders [[Kyawcenni Pua]] and [[Ymécopaltarrévein]] to the west, and the [[Antsunmwasha River]] to the east.

| The name '''Pozhazh''' comes from two [[Xadwg]] words: "<span class=script-cadwg>Pw</span>"/"<span class=script-nahan>Pó</span>" /pu/, meaning [[Pua]], referring to Pozhazh's proximity to [[West Pua]], and "<span class=script-cadwg>Xax</span>"/"<span class=script-nahan>Ziazi</span>" /ʒaʒ/, meaning harbour, referring to the former [[Scarecrow Harbour]] upon which Pozhazh was founded. However, the reason why it's called Pozhazh and not Puzhazh is due to irregular alteration of /u/ to /o/.
