Yolyu Tačkow was a Kyawcenni outpost near the northern coast of Slabland. It used to be the most important settlement of the land claimed by the Kyawcenni settlers on the coast of the Swamsea, which they call Mariland, or Šingmari in Kyawcenni. It had been settled mainly by colonists from northern Shingtsun, and like many of the settlements there, was built mostly out of local materials. During the Nguhcraft Winter in December 2024 it was obliterated off the face of the Ŋearth and Barzewmari has been founded afterwards.
It is not yet connected to Cenrail.
Name
The name "Yolyu Tačkow" means "faraway town" in the Kyawcenni language, which refers to the long distance from the town to the Kyawcenni homeland (and is also an Omori reference).
Geography
The town is located on a river some distance inland from the coast, on a small peninsula, at the foot of a sizable hill. It is located in a temperate forest, and accordingly oak is the most common type of wood used in buildings. The harbour of the town is located on a partially submerged ravine.
