On 16 June 2026, Jeming Showetanya Eshyeleshew was kidnapped from his home in Niads by an unknown person and sent south, presumably to Wolf. The person in question seems to has connections to a figure known as Nero. Nico St. Damian then went missing for a week, with tensions rising within Tocjaǵa Śahan.

Then, on 23 June 2026, St. Damian announced that a special force would be formed to find Nero, headed by a Tanylezi woman named Tazasi Mocaeu. The speech associated with these announcements also put St. Damian back in public favor.

Tocjaǵa Śahan (Fruitcat: /tokjad͡ʒa ʃaxan/, meaning "Border Islands") is a small country on the northeastern world borders.

Not much goes on there.

History

The history of Tocjaǵa Śahan is very convoluted and confusing and borderline contradictory. However, we[who?] have tried our[who?] very best to compile it into something understandable.

A majority of Śahanic history is also based widely on the Chickenist writings, lots of which are of dubious historicity. This is why what is written here is ambiguous and contradictory. Take it with a grain of salt, y'know?

Tocjaǵa Śahan began as a people-group in an unknown location, possibly somewhere near Yetch Bay.[1] The Śahanic people eventually went to Tocjaǵa Śahan, where they lived cut off from the world until they were re-discovered in 2001.

The explorers who discovered the people accidentally claimed that at the time they had technology "similar to twenty years ago" and progressed fairly similarly to the rest of the world at the time. The Śahanic people lived normally for the next 14 years before eventually founding the country of Tocjaǵa Śahan.

Tocjaǵa Śahan, as a nation, was founded on 14 April 2015. Or 2025.[2] Who knows? I[who?] don't! The nation was eventually formalized with the enigmatic Howard as leader and Carl-Not-Cafaceu as Howard's representative. It was during this time that Carl-Not-Cafaceu brought Tocjaǵa Śahan to the same place technologically as the rest of the world.

On 1 January 2025, Carl-Not-Cafaceu stepped down as representative of Howard the day after a Triwát conversation where they said they would investigate strange behavior on Wolf. They appointed Nico St. Damian as the next representative of Howard.

St. Damian attempted to globalize Tocjaǵa Śahan by pushing tourism and joining an alliance with other ŋations (ŊORTH). They are also active on Triwát and have been often criticized for not taking their job seriously.

Culture

Gender

Tocjaǵa Śahan is a genderless society[3]. However, ideas of masculinity and femininity still exist to a certain capacity. They are best viewed as two extremes of a bell curve, where a majority of people fall under the "androgynous" middle. Masculinity and femininity in Tocjaǵa Śahan are often viewed as very similar; the gendering of clothing (that isn't "androgynous" or "non-androgynous") is a neologism that, despite creating more of a divide between Śahanic masculinity and femininity, is not widely prevalent, and often does not follow how clothes are gendered in other cultures. Physical features such as body parts also carry no connotation of masculinity or femininity, adding onto the similarity of the two presentations in Śahanic culture.[4]

Because of this, prominent Śahanics often "pick up" a gender when they are known outside of Tocjaǵa Śahan. They are usually assigned unto them by people[3] and often they are given just by how they "seem" to non-Śahanic cultures. Nico St. Damian, however, chose to present explicitly non-binary when appointed Representative of Howard so that an unwanted gender would not be forced onto them. Most Śahanics, however, do not do this, as a majority of them don't understand the idea of gender and why it would be important.

Divisions

Tocjaǵa Śahan is divided into five "divisions":

 • The Greater Crask Area (Ćea Fajźafi Crasca, but oft just called Crasca)
 • Niads (Ńadz)
 • Wolf (Wolf)
 • The Jazilbek Islands (Śahana Źazilbeca)
 • Fujisaki Island (Śahan Fuǵisacia)

The reason why this is is unknown, as the Śahanic government doesn't require divisions.

The most populous of the divisions is the Greater Crask Area, because it contains the nation's capital city, Crask Beach. There are also (only in-lore) cities on Niads, Fujisaki Island, and Wolf, and sparse villages on the Jazilbek Islands.
