Kyaw Cen City, officially the City of Kyaw Cen, often simply called Kyaw Cen, is the de jure capital city and namesake of the Kingdom of Kyaw Cen located on the Isles of Silly inbetween Šingcun and Marcyland. It was first worked on mid-November 2023 as the capital city of a new empire. Though, due to poor urban planning, the government, including the Quing, has moved to Yija in February 2024, making Kyaw Cen City an unfinished ghost town.[1]
Etymology
Kyaw Cen comes from Kyawcenni ကြဝ်ခဲန် kyawcen meaning "sand island". This is because the island the city was built on was largely made of sand before it was covered by Kyaw Cen's stone brick foundation. Though it can still be seen in the Kyawcenni underground.
Construction
Kyaw Cen City, at that time just called Kyaw Cen, has started construction in November 2023, growing to its approximate current size in late January 2024.
Burning Mall Disaster

On 28 December 2023, the construction of the Birchwood Mall was interrupted by what the government of Kyaw Cen calls the Burning Mall Disaster, which was triggered by Marcy's attempt at destroying Netherrack by setting a placed Netherrack block inside the Pokenxi mine on fire and burning the Netherrack in the flames. Afterwards, Marcy left the mine. It was not until a couple of minutes later when she had realized that the whole building was on fire. Panicking, Marcy had asked for help and died three times. Luckily, the fire was put out by her in the matter of a few minutes and no other people were harmed.
Underground
The Kyawcenni underground is the natural sand foundation under the city that is hidden underneath the thick layer of Stone Bricks. The construction of a larger train station and a storage hall was planned, but it has never been built. The underground can be entered through the Pokenxi mine, the backside of the Birchwood mall, the train station or the unwalled part at the Northeastern end of the city.
Greenification
Following the founding of Yija, Kyaw Cen City has been largely abandoned until a revival was proposed by the Quing to rebuild the city a few months later. On 19 April 2024, the Greenification of the city began. The eastern half of Kyaw Cen Island has been flattened and greenified and on 21 April, the first new house has been built in the city since January.
Renaming
Ever since the abandonment of Kyaw Cen City, a renaming of the city has been considered. But a new name hasn't been proposed until its revival and greenification in April 2024. The current contestants are Lezonna/Lizonna (from Kyawcenni lêzaunne meaning jungle) and Parkow (from Kyawcenni parkow meaning vacation and leisure)
