The Hertskomestat Syndicate Piglin Farm Incident
On 6 May 2025, the Piglin Farm at Zer Makon Hertskomestat ut zer Pfaut Erxaf overflowed.
Preceding Events
At some point prior to 5 May, a zombie piglin farm was built by BE and sourrabbit. The efficient farm was intended to use entity cramming as a backup.
Incident
5 May
At some point, sourrabbit logged on, and began AFKing the farm.
6 May
At 15:03 MDT, Fin noticed no mobs were spawning in the Port of Eras. [1] He decided to see if the issue was in Hertskomestat, as sourrabbit was the only other player online.
At 15:13 MDT, Fin arrived, and using the Tab key and the Xaero's map mod, identified the issue as being in Hertskomestat.[2] At this time, BE joined the game, and Fin tried to alert him to the issue. The area was also severely laggy.
Around 5 minutes later, most of the piglins were killed, reducing the lag and fixing the issue.
Causes & Aftermath
BE and sourrabbit both suggested it was not the piglins hitting the mob cap. BE suggested server lag, while sourrabbit suggested it was bats.
Mob spawning returned to normal after the incident was resolved.
