The Complex (SITRP: KR7c) is a country in the southwest of the Land of Chaos, bordering the country of Seolland.
Primary Goal
The Complex's primary goal is to construct the structure of the same name, hereby referred to as the Structure (SITRP: \sr8). The structure is divided into a number of 50×50 block sectors, with each sector having distinct theming. Some sectors have utilitarian purposes (farms, storage, information, etc.) while others are merely aesthetic. No sectors expose the exterior; the Structure consists of one massive indoor space.
The state apparatus is built with the sole mission to advance and expand the Structure. This is the only goal of the state.
Government and Politics
The Government of the Complex consists of two primary: the Archon Council (AC) and the Construction Council (CC). The AC makes executive strategic decisions, such as diplomatic actions or steering directives. The CC handles the task of organizing the construction of the Structure, and makes necessary provisions towards that end. Each council has exactly 8 members, labelled A0 though A7 and C0 through C7 respectively. At no time are the names of these members to be revealed.
The AC has the ultimate power in this system, and may overrule the CC on any matter. As such, it is the primary governing body of the Complex.
Economy
For every block placed and recognized by the AC as part of the Structure, one Complex Block (SITRP: ^Yl$) will be awarded to the concept who placed it. A single Complex Block is the smallest unit of currency in the Complex, and is the primary way the Complex assigns value to players or organizations.
Classes
Concepts may be given a class which determines among other things, their social standing within the Complex. The highest classes are members of the AC or CC, and the lowest are for those who have recently been admitted into the Complex. The following classes are currently in use (sorted by power):
- A - Members of the Archon Committee.
- C - Members of the Construction Committee.
- T - Trusted individuals with a good standing.
- B - Individuals who have participated in the Complex for some time.
- N - Other individuals who need a designation for administrative purposes.
An individual is typically named by their class, followed by a designation number; for instance someone of class T might have a designation "T27", marking that they're the twelfth member of the T class. This name is the only name used in official documentation used by the Complex.
When an individual is promoted from one class to another, their number changes as well. They are then treated as a new concept, and previous documents referring to them are then declared void.
Referenda
From time to time a council may hold referenda on specific public issues. A referendum may be restricted to a specific class, or it may be open to all to vote. The weight of a vote is equal to the amount of Complex blocks one spends to cast it. This system ensures that those who have contributed most have the most say in the future of the Complex.
Official Document System
The Official Document System is how the Complex creates and stores documents. Everything, from currency certificates to important classified decisions are recorded using it.
