Madokaism

Madokaism (Catalan: Madocaísme /məðuka'izmə/) is the state religion of Adaria. The religion states that Madoka Kaname, also known as Madokami, is the creator of the universe, and that She oversees the world and protects it from falling into eternal despair by taking desperate souls out of the plain of existence through a process called the Law of Cycles.
Currently, the religion is only observed in Adaria, and sanctioned by Martinawa, the Supreme Leader of the ngation. There is a temple for its practice in the country, atop of the cliffs of Reconfiguration, next to the Adaria Central station.
Prayers
The main prayer in Madokaism says as follows:
"Don't forget. Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember Her, you are not alone."

This prayer reinforces the principle that She is overseeing the world and protecting humanity from despair.
State structures
Madokaism is the state religion of Adaria. As such, the University of Adaria has several faculties dedicated to the research on the nature of Madokami and all the universe that She created: The Law of Cycles, Magical Girls, and the raw manifestations of sorrow and despair that might appear in the world. The defense ministry of Adaria has a department dedicated to the defense of the country from magical originated despair, the Departament d'Arts Màgiques, that has two sections. Their academic section is mainly staffed by priests, who investigate the magic nature of the world and the threats to both people and the Goddess herself, and the Noies Màgiques, a special force, consistent entirely of young women, who have been trained as magical girls for the fight against magic threats in the world.
Reinforcing events
World War 2
The sudden end of World War 2, in which the opposing party members to Adaria vanished inadvertently, has been interpreted as an application of the Law of Cycles to the mandatories of Lavvakcesaa, especially to Saquuaca Vilderu. Controversially, this has also been observed to make some theologians in Adaria consider the possibility that Ætérnal might be a figure related to Madokaism and an envoyee from Madokami to apply the Law of Cycles, despite no evidence of men ever being directly involved with Madokami's mission. Later into investigations, it was concluded that he was actually an Incubator, making him an antagonistic figure in official Madokaism in Adaria. This, however, was a controversial statement, as Incubators cannot remove people from the world, only Madokami can, and some scholars have disputed this statement. Later on, it was decided Ætérnal was not an incubator, and Ætérnalist practice was allowed yet again in Adarian lands.
Kozdenen Civil war
During the civil unrest that started in Kozdenen at the tail end of April 2026, it was revealed that the Doge of Kozdenen, Peleṽa Thoa-Saevakki, was an immortal being capable of instant resuscitation. In the beginning, Adaria didn't intervene in the situation, as it thought this was a simple alleyway into the Law of Cycles, as previously individuals thought to be invincible had been banished into Madokami's realm. Concern only began on June 10th, when after the disappearance of Saevakki, it transcended that a technological device built in Enkavak was used to trap him into a pocket dimension. This started to raise alarms that the Rebellion prophecy might be starting to be realised, and that Atlantian Incubators managed to trap the soul of the Doge, letting it transform into a witch and luring in Madokami in order to identify her and potentially kidnap her. On June 10, the government of Adaria requested details about the trapping technology, which were ignored by the Enkavak government. During the month of July, unrest inside of Enkavak made the containment of Saevakki increasingly difficult, and during the collapse of the previous government, the Doge managed to escape the pocket dimension and returned to Kozdenen, where he resumed his terror reign in the city. After learning about this development on July 14, Adaria immediately suspected that whatever returned to Kozdenen was actually a witch, which managed to escape the dimension and set up a labyrinth on the city. The Supreme Leader immediately started scrambling for any nation in the vicinity of the Gulf for assistance into a mission that could determine the nature of what was presumed to be Saevakki. After recieving a response from the Netejaires force from Imerchal, a force was assembled to be sent into the Gulf area for an initial inspection.
