The Madness Multiverse Missionary (Rokadong:    Urahanil Unihatoska Unotekám) is a pseudo-political, pseudo-religious research institute with two Nguhcraft branches. Their main office is in Azeria, but they also have a daughter office in Ruviyatangan.

Etymology

The MMM has no relation to the Realm of Madness, although unlike other Rauratoshanian authorities, the MMM did not discourage interaction with the Realm of Madness while it existed. Rather, their English name is a play on the 2022 movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, with the dissolution of the Realm of Madness on 4 May 2025, some more extremist members have referred to it as "the new Realm of Madness".

The Rokadong name means something along the lines of Business of Many Chaotic Worlds. These words all start with /u/. Keeping this trend is why even though the MMM does not consider itself a religious organization, the English name still uses the word "Missionary" - there are, apparently, no secular synonyms for "business" in English that start with the letter M.

The logo for the MMM is stylized after the historic script of Middle Nenta, the "West Karan script". This calligraphic script is not in active use by any language, but it is a prestige script in Nentan family languages. It literally means "three Ws", referring to the Rokadong acronym "UUU" (), though notably, the number 3 is stylized after the Liðakuin numeral, rather than the numerals actually used in Middle Nenta writing.

Organization

The Madness Multiverse Missionary is divided into several different "Offices". Its structure is often likened to a squid, with the chief officers as the "head".

Office of Bridges

The Office of Bridges investigates Nguhcraft's portal technology. They wish to procure and study an End portal or gateway, but these are immovable, and a Nether portal doesn't fit on one floor of the office. This means that Office of Bridges personnel tend to go into the field.

The Office of Bridges is convinced that ancient cities hold a portal to another dimension. However, attempts to light this supposed portal have been fruitless.

Office of Elements

The Office of Elements studies the makeup of items in Nguhcraft. Some of these are made of elements that are not found in the home dimension of Rauratoshan, while some elements native to that dimension cannot be found in Nguhcraft.

Office of Intervention

The Office of Intervention attempts to scientifically verify the existence of deities. Obviously, this makes them young earth creationists. The Office of Intervention is mostly a joke as a result of this blatant disregard for the entire point of the MMM. Some members of the organization have joked that they'd be sent to a Office of Intervention lecture if they broke established protocols.

Office of Acceleration

The Office of Acceleration was founded immediately following the collapse of the Realm of Madness, by petition by certain members of the MMM. It perceives itself as the continuation of the Accelerationist Accelerationist Party of Madness; these are the extremists who view the MMM as a means to revive the fallen nation.

Office of Abundance

The Office of Abundance investigates curiosities involving the laws of physics in Nguhcraft being extremely loose. While this office did exist in the home dimension of Rauratoshan due to magic breaking conservation laws, its activity picked up significantly in Nguhcraft due to the very, very many ways in which various materials can be created from essentially nothing. The chief of the Office of Duplication is Mocte 'Okina, son of chief financial officer Tama 'Okina Jr. The goal he has set for the office is to figure out how to duplicate the Petrified Oak Slab, and in so doing, collapse the economy of Nguhcraft.

Office of War

The Office of War was originally the Office of Destruction, and was created to destroy things, making them the opposite of the Office of Duplication. When news of the new Constitution of Rauratoshan reached the chief officers of the MMM, the Office of Destruction was rebranded as the Office of War, as "destruction sounded too extreme". The Office of War is the main office of the Madness Multiverse Party of Rauratoshan, and is headed by the chief reputation officer themself, Hira Ayemânsu.

Activities

Scientific activities

The MMM was originally conceived as the Rauratoshanian Institute for Physical Investigation (RIPI), an institute that fundraised for experiments to test theoretical physics. RIPI was founded in Kanata 72 by Karanian-Rauratoshanian physics researcher and philosopher Hira Ayemânsu and Debazi business mogul Tama 'Okina[1]. In the original timeline of Rauratoshan, RIPI did rebrand into the MMM, but only after the 'Okina family's independent investigation into the Debazi executive office's history (after realizing how quickly Debaz advanced technologically over the years) resulted in him learning about parallel universes.

However, in the timeline this version of the MMM comes from, it rebranded after Dr. Ayemânsu accidentally sent Rauratoshan into Nguhcraft. Regardless of the method, the MMM is now focused upon so-called "spacetime tunneling", through which alternate timelines and universes can be explored.

Non-scientific activities

While the MMM is not overtly a political organization, a solid chunk of the papers in the MMM's library are not entirely scientific. Dr. Ayemânsu in particular is known for using a section of the MMM's journal as a dumping ground for anything philosophical that they think of, including political treatises criticizing Rauratoshan's royal family, capitalism, various religious beliefs, and so on.

This activity, perpetuated and enhanced by several of Ayemânsu's subordinates, has earned the MMM a reputation as a political and religious force, albeit one that is questionably official and definitely contradictory. Ayemânsu is seen as a seminal Rauratoshanian philosopher, particularly among communists, and is known more for this than for his discovery of the multiverse.

Campus

The Blue Skies Tower during its construction

The Blue Skies Research Tower is the headquarters of the Madness Multiverse Missionary. It is a skyscraper reaching from roughly sea level to the "Nguhcraft build limit", Y level 320. It is currently still under construction, and is comprised almost exclusively of basalt and glass, though there are two major decorations on the outside of the tower: the Madness Multiverse Missionary logo, and a large clock. Both of these decorations were added on May 21, 2025, while the tower still only had three completed floors.

Each floor above the first holds a different office or research area. The Office of War is on the 13th floor, "because it's an unlucky number."

Politics

The MMM has "informally" created the Madness Multiverse Party, headed by the Office of War. The MMP is surprisingly successful in Rauratoshan - despite overlap in goals with multiple other parties, they have 3 of the Parliament of Rauratoshan's 25 seats. While their economic positions tend to align with the Socialist Workers' Party, their social positions are closer in line with the Liberal Republican Party. For the purposes of choosing a Prime Minister, the Madness Multiverse Party aligned with the Liberal Republican Party, making them part of the majority coalition.

Notes

  1. At the time, no title was given, but he is now known as 'Okina Sr. as his son also has the same name.
