Jórvisk Language
Jórvisk is a language belonging to the Saxo-Syzkynic Languages, also known as the Germanic languages, specifically on the Syzkynic branch.. Exact origin is unknown but it is heavily theorised to be a direct descendant of the Old Norse language of which it is co-official with Jórvisk itself and English in New Jorvik. Like most Germanic languages, Jorvisk's vowel inventory is heavy with vowels, though has some bizarre features separating it from English, such as the presence of the [r] phoneme as opposed to the [ɹ] found in English. While documentation is currently sparse due to the recent discovery of this language, linguists in and around New Jorvik are working their best to produce documentation.
