Cool War

The Cool War was a cold war between Tisheongja and what is now named Juya Gwaña which took place in May 30th, 2022. Both regions at the time were proto-ŋations with multiple members, but only their owners Saithe and Suqi, respectively, were involved in the tensions. No conflict ended up taking place between the two regions, but ideological disputes and discussions of attacks between them did take place. When this conflict took place, Juya Gwaña had not yet been given a name, and so was referred to as "place which has no name" and similar phrases, as well as "Weird Looking Parrot" which was one name Suqi was considering for it.

Background

Prior to the Cool War, Ætérnal had recently established slablets as the currency of Season 2. Saithe was eager to get many slablets, but Suqi was unfamiliar with and wary of the new currency. Both Saithe and Suqi had begun establishing villager trading halls in their respective regions. Saithe, however, had very few diamonds and was looking to get enough to obtain slablets. She used her trading hall to buy diamond gear and would offer to sell the gear to other players in exchange for one diamond per piece.

Events

The Cool War began when Saithe offered Suqi one of her diamond gear-for-diamond trades, which Suqi was immediately suspicious of, citing an advertisement they had seen at a train or bus station some years prior which said "If it sounds too good to be true, then it is." After Saithe explained her process, Suqi realized it was a scam, since they could merely obtain diamond armor for emeralds and a book rather than giving out their own diamonds, and accused Saithe of capitalism.

Juya Gwaña had plans to build a large quantity of farms, surpassing what was built in the Empire of Cuba prior, and giving plentiful resources away for free in an ideology Suqi called "Ambilism". Suqi threatened to attract Tisheongja's populace to Juya Gwaña with Ambilism, to which Saithe accused them of "trying to sabotage the economy". When asked if this would become a cold war by Saithe, Suqi responded:

“no lol ppl are just gonna move here

alone

and expensive

also we dont have nukes

well wait

we do have janus”

At this point in the discussion, talks of potential nuclear weapons began. N3 mentioned a design she made of a diagonal TNT cannon that functions similarly to nuclear fission. Suqi also mentioned a time when Janus threatened to nuke Cuba, and Janus saying they do have “a few metric fucktons of TNT”. After that, both Suqi and Saithe clarified that they would not have wanted a war between them, but they insisted further on their ideological leanings:

• “to be clear: my intent is not to spread my ideology or impose it on any region of the server outside [my region which has no name]. you and your good time buddies will not be prevented from practicing capitalism anywhere outside of it” -Suqi
• “it says right here *points to the communist manifesto i think* that capitalists are pigdogs and always ruin everything” -Suqi
• “capitalism cannot exist if communism is allowed to thrive /lh” -Saithe

In the end, the conflict fizzled out with little confrontation between the two ideologies again. Tisheongja and Juya Gwaña would both end up becoming abandoned in 2023.
