Lu-Medi-Re

Lu-Medi-Re (Vietnamese: Lu-me-đi-re [lu˧ mɛ˧ ɗi˧ ɹɛ˧], Sumerian: Lu-me-du-ri-ki; transliteration: lu₂-me-du-ri^ki; cuneiform: 𒇽𒈨𒁺𒊑𒆠; Akkadian: Amēl-medurī), also known as Meduri, is the capital of Ho Chi Ming City. Despite being the capital of Caigon, a mere 100 people live here, out of the estimated 4.5 million in total.

The city's patron deity is Enlil (Sumerian: 𒀭𒂗𒆤 ^dEN-LÍL), the god of wind, air, earth, and storms. Archaeological discoveries have shown that Lu-Medi-Re was a major Vietnamese urban center. The discovery of traces of smelted copper further confirmed this. These ingots, which date to the era of Ea-Nāṣir, contained approximately 40% copper and 60% iron oxide, which were shown to be imported from places like modern-day Cambodia, Thailand, and China.
