Janus, also spelled Janvs, Ianus, or Ianvs (all of which may be all-caps), pronounced ʟᴀᴛ /ˈjaːnʊs/ is a Nguhcraft player who is active in both Season 1 and Season 2. They currently are building their house in Coldba (Cuba) after their first home on the server was desecrated by Þunan Qumreá in their conquest of Ŋájaþáw.

Season 1

Janus lived in Old Cuba and contributed greatly to its development, namely building a large number of the farms and the villager hub (VH). They employed a large number of villagers to the Cuban VH and created the zombification chamber to cheapen trades. Their home, known as the Rusty Krab, doubled as a bar where they sold drugs. They eventually created and moved to the ŋation of Monguhlia where they had a massive amount of dogs. Working with Suqi, they built the Great Ice Bridges and planned Operation Vanderbilt.

Janus was widely known for having horrible internet that repeatedly kicked them from Nguhcraft- to the point a server emoji was made from it - and constantly bickering with Suqi. Janus was also the only person to ever defeat KateThePanPlate in a duel due to her being AFK, an impressive feat because Kate has modded armor and weapons that made her more powerful. She was often referred to as the most powerful person on the server besides Ætérnal.

Season 2

In the beginning of Season 2, they set their belongings in an area near Spawn, but they were stolen by an unknown thief. Luckily, Ætérnal re-pasted their chests so they didn't lose anything. Janus moved to would become Ŋájaþáw. They created an obsidian room above which they built their house. They planned for it to be temporary until they re-founded Monguhlia in the now-Miŋejácárian archipelago. Janus and Suqi were invested in creating a villager hub in the new server, so they drained the ocean monument in Juya Gwaña, however they both abandoned the server shortly after.

During Janus' absence, Þunan Qumreá discovered their house with all their belongings, including numerous illegal items they had since the End Dimension was open in Season 1 but not Season 2. The items were siezed and the area was named the Lost City of Gold. Janus' house was turned into a Cenrail station. In their house, a book was found with text in an unknown language, which later became an archaelogical object of inquiry. The language was dubbed Mörgül after the book's title, also Janusish after its author, but was later revealed to be Tuvan.

Janus returned in late 2024 after obtaining a new computer, since their previous computer had broken, preventing them from re-joining for a long time. After joining and discovering what had become of their home, they abandoned plans of re-building Monguhlia and moved to Coldba (Cuba) to build a new home. Janus has focused on developing numerous cities in Coldba, namely Chillvana, Old Cuba, and Frostanamo Bay. In Old Cuba, they returned to developing the Cuban VH by building an enormous automatic crop farm for trading with farmers and obtaining emeralds. They are also the owner of the Ancient City in Mount Celeste.
