The Kingdom of Kyaw Cen participated in and won the Nguhrovision Song Contest 2024 with the song Reflection written by Marcy Sheikah. On the evening of the rehearsal, it was drawn to perform in 10th place out of 11 participants, only before Xtrakva.
Name
The name Kingdom of Kyaw Cen was deemed too long and irritating by Kyawcenni organizer Marcy Sheikah, which lead to the kingdom participating under the name Kyaw Cen, which is a term often infomally used for the whole kingdom interŋationally. This has sparked some controversy among the Kyawcenni people not living in the Republic of Kyaw Cen, claiming that the name was too Kyawmunist.
Ironically, Fishland's name was elongated to Fishland, the Fishdom of.
Background
The Kingdom of Kyaw Cen has expressed interest in creating an interŋational singing competition for amateur songwriters and singers since May 2024, which turned out successful. Initially knowing nothing about music theory and not being able to sing nor play any instruments, Prime Minister Marcy Sheikah chose themself as the representative for the Kingdom of Kyaw Cen over Xoran, who had significantly more musical experience.
