Xtrakva, officially the Young Colony of Xtrakva (Morytian: Ÿrvangtälzhgizto Xtrakvash IPA: /ɤrvaŋtɑlʒgɪztɔ xtrakvaʃ/ Remÿsian: Vęnčewš ha Ketrejwe IPA: /vɛ̃nt͡ʃɛʊʃ ha kɛtɾɛjʋɛ/) commonly misspelled as Xtravka and Xtravak, is the northernmost and easternmost ŋation in the Land of Chaos. The country borders the sea of Thevs. Also part of the country is the Xtrakvan archipelago where most of its citizens live. Xtrakva is a member of the United Ŋations having joined on 11 June, 2024 becoming the 25th member. Its capital, Czägrÿxyx, is located on the northwest side of Arghak island.
Name
Etymology
Morytian
Xtrakva is a compound word of Morytian origin. Xtra can be translated as "that which is being guarded/shielded" and kva translates as "tip", "peak" or "spear". The official name "Young Colony" is a compound word Ÿrvangtälzhgizto. Ÿrvang is an old-fashioned word meaning "youthful", the modern Morytian word for "young" would be something like "arva". Tälzh means "colony", and -gizto means something like "place of rule".
Remÿsian
The Remÿsian name for Xtrakva is Ketrejwe which is a calque using the same root cognates. Ketru meaning "to protect", and we meaning "tip" or "point". The official name is, likewise, a direct calque of the Morytian name. Vęn- means "young", and čewš means "colony". These two words are direct cognates of Morytian and come from Old Morytic Harvąnta, meaning "youthful", and Thälakac, meaning "outpost". Note the omission of -gizto, as it stopped being used as an important suffix in Old Remÿsian. The word ha simply means "of" and is used here since Remÿsian lacks a genitive case unlike Morytian.
Geography
Political Geography
Xtrakva is made up of five provinces (Morytian: Gikxüe IPA: /gikxue/ Remÿsian: Ljagče IPA: /ʎagt͡ʃɛ/), three continental and two insular.

The provinces are as follows:
- Arghak-Gikxüe/Ljagče ha Argarak; Most populated province and home to the capital of Czägrÿxyx.
- Kvarjak-Gikxüe/Ljagče ha Wermejas; Home of Mount Kvarhe.
- Sath Epec Gikxüe/Ljagče ha Ivič;
- Shikazha-Gikxüe/Ljagče ha Kantašÿn;
- Omshnal-Gikxüe/Ljagče ha Uletnil;
Physical Geography
Xtrakvan Archipelago
The Xtrakvan Archipelago comprised of 20 islands located in the sea of Thevs. Two large islands and 18 small islands. The largest island, called Arghak, is heavily forested and houses most settlements in the country due to its relatively flat terrain. The northern parts of Arghak island are comprised of stony shores, forests and a savanna in the northeast. Towards the center of the island, the forests and fertile grassland subside for rocky terrain. The southern half of Arghak is heavily forested and the very southernmost point of the island is made up of a small jungle. The second largest island, called Kvarjak, is home to Mount Kvarhe, the highest point of Xtrakva at 160 meters in height.
Additionally, there is the island of Shroomland (Morytian: Falksivak, Remÿsian: Senečǫwe) to the north which was an autonomous territory jointly owned by Xtrakva and formerly the Fishdom of Fishland, now Þunan Qumreá.
Mainland
During the great western expansion in September, Xtrakva thoroughly expanded its borders and gained mainland territory which is currently in the process of being divided into three provinces.
Xtrakva's mainland territory is rugged and hilly with very little in terms of flat terrain. The province of Shikazha is home to the Shikazh jungle, a large jungle that greatly varies in elevation. West of Shikazha is the province of Omshnal, which trades the jungle for birch woodland. The province is on the more secluded side of things as very few have ventured here. Up north is the province of Sath Epec, situated around lake Epec. Climate-wise, Sath Epec is close to Omshnal in terms of flora and fauna. Additionally, visitors are advised to steer clear of certain areas of the mainland, mainly the east coast of Sath Epec and Shikaza, due to the presence of military training camps.
Borders and Disputes
Mainland Xtrakva's northern border follows along a river that runs alongside the borders of Aylongam and formerly Fishland with the only exception to this being a single land border, a tiny isthmus, which used to be shared with Fishland pre-Ŋeicide.
The single border dispute is in regards to the Sunken Isles (Morytian: Shÿljakü) which was at a certain point controlled by Fishland. Xtrakva claims these islands rightfully as its own, pushing ancestral claims as the isles hold a very important role in Xtrakva's early history, being the place where the founding fathers of Xtrakva shored up after their ship began sinking. Nowadays, possession of the Sunken Isles falls within Þunan Qumreá and the two ŋations have yet to meet for any agreement as of yet.
History
Early History
The early history of Xtrakva is murky to say the least. The founding fathers came in the form of sailors from a distant land far off the map known as Morytia. With them, they brought their tongue which was widely used as a lingua franca back home. A major theory to their origin regards that they went through a portal though this has not been confirmed. The seamen sailed the sea of Thevs before their ship began sinking. They shored up and sought temporary refuge on a small island nearby, known today as part of the Sunken Isles. It was on that island that they discovered a set of large uninhabited islands to the south. There, they set up a permanent settlement on the northwest end of the big island. The village was quickly named Tin Czägrÿ which means "Town of Salvations". As the settlement grew and with no connection to their homeland. They sought out to become recognized as a nation in their own right. Among the founders was a man named Vÿl, who was rallied by the people as a de facto leader.
Modern History
Xtrakva became recognized as a country by other nations of the world and was admitted into the United Ŋations on 11 June, 2024. Nine days later, Vÿl, who was serving as de-facto governor while the constitution was being worked on, became elected as the first governor of Xtrakva and was sworn into office on 1 July. Tin Czägrÿ had grown and grown as a city and was renamed to Czägrÿxyx. On the day after getting reelected, governor Vÿl greatly expanded the country by acquiring land to the west.
Government
The Young Colony of Xtrakva is a presidential republic and has remained as such since the signing of the constitution in May 2024.
Ruler
Xtrakva's head of state and government is referred to as "governor" rather than president as a remnant of their colonial past. In addition, the office of vice president is referred to as "vice governor". The governor is elected on the 20th of the first month of each season and is inaugurated on the first day of the second month. Xtrakva's current governor is notable founding father Vÿl (full name Ghasülaken-Temest Vÿl Xtrakvazo "Kürmem") of the Xtrakvan Foundation Party, who is currently serving his third consecutive term in office after being reelected in September, 2024, and then again in December of the same year. The next election is scheduled for 20 March, 2025.

Languages
As of 1 March, 2025, Xtrakva has two official languages: Morytian and Remÿsian. Both languages are part of the great Thzorro-Morytic language family, which is a wide family back home but on Ŋearth, both of these languages are considered isolates and only related to each other. Until March, 2025, Morytian was the sole official language of the country, reflecting its Morytian majority. Talks about recognition of the Remÿsian language, a language closely related to Morytian, spoken by a sizeable minority, have been ongoing since shortly after the country's inception. On 1 March, 2025, governor Vÿl signed and approved a bill making Remÿsian co-official alongside Morytian. The process of bilingualization is set to take two to three weeks over the course of the month of March where all government documents, road signs, and addresses will adopt new Remÿsian names alongside their original Morytian names.
Foreign Relations
Diplomacy
Xtrakva started out as a relatively isolationist country but has greatly expanded its relations with other countries. It remained great allies with its northern neighbor Fishland up until its dissolution following the Ŋeicide, who, at the time, controlled the northern half of the sea of Thevs. Together, the two nations jointly own the territory of Falkisivak, a large island that lies between the two.
On 31 October, 2024, Xtrakva became a founding member of ŊATO, an interŋovernmental military organization, alongside Enkavak, Hummland and the Kingdom of Kyaw Cen. Governor Vÿl is currently serving as secretary general of the organization.
Xtrakva does not recognize the Evil Scamming Country and sees its government as illegitimate. It used to have cold relations with the Realm of Madness and Coldba (Cuba) but to a lesser extent. These past views have shifted in a more positive direction in recent time as Xtrakva is open to collaborate with both ŋations. One such collaboration with the Ream of Madness is the Chaos by Land Initiative along with other ŋations of the continent, and there are ongoing talks about a proposed Chaotic Union.
International Activities
Xtrakva competed in the Nguhrovision Song Contest 2024 with the song S'Kel Mräthnax and got 4th place in the competition. Governor Vÿl also acted as technical supervisor for the event. Xtrakva has plans to participate in the 2025 contest though no song has been chosen at the time of writing this.
Xtrakva plans to take part in the 2025 Nguhlympics, though the event is still in its planning stage.
