Syim (Toli pron.: /sʏjm/) is the democraticly elected body of law of Aprux Mexyrhat consisting of 50 Mesirhes (elected members of the body). It was formed in 1423 A.Dyr. after the Faxhylan of 1417, and is the only administrative power in the country. The Syim is also tasked with choosing the next Mexyrfax.

Elections

The elections for the Syim are held every year, in the middle of Xyl. All 15 Kiser' are subdivided into 10 equaly populated areas, called Erme', according to the national census held every two years, on the begining of Xyl. Voters, which are Aprux Mexyrhat citizens with a working card, vote on parties that are running in their Erme. 150 Erme are divided into 50 randomly assigned 3-Erme groups, and their votes are combined. The best performing party in these 3-Erme groups gets a seat in the Syim.

When an election is concluded, the parties choose the Mesirhes' from their party. The first and mandatory vote is the vote of confidence for the current Mexyrfax. If the vote fails, another vote is made, deciding the new Mexyrfax.

Structure

Voting on the Mexyrfax

The Syim is the one deciding who becomes the new Mexyrfax, after the previous one is deceased or voted out. The Syim can also vote to remove the Mexyrfax if it gains a support of at least 35 Mesirhes' (70%).

Current Composition

For three years since the election of 1498 A.dyr., the leading party is the socialist Apsutiali Kirahit, with 27 Mesirhes'. There are then five other parties, from most to least amount of seats: Koituras (11)(conservative), Tibatgho u Kjawkeghzav uetrogh (6)(Tibatgho and Kiykwizani independence movements), Mersiunites (3)(broad political views; trying to remove Aleksanetra of Perhyh from office and instaling Mersiun Horim of Kyfes), Et (2)(Enviormental) and Thyf (1)(the straight-up evil guys).

Legaly speaking, forming of above-party coalitions is illegal. However, three informal blocks still have emerged in the Syim: Socialists-reformists (Apsutiali Kirahit, Et; 29 seats), Anti-Aleksanetrists (Koituras, Mersiunites, Thyf; 15 seats) and the Minority block (Tibatgho u Kjawkeghzav uetrogh; 6 seats).

Currently Working on a chart for the history of the Syim, gimmie a hot second.

Historic Composition

Since the election of 1423 A.dyr., the political landscape of Aprux Mexyrhat has dramaticly changed. The Faxhylan leading rebels and then first Mesirhes' have quickly split into three factions: Sutialifax, Kiroisifat and Yrhiotis. Following this, was a period of many tiny parties existing, being now refered to as Eia. After the elections of 1451 A.dyr., the parties of modern Apsutiali Kirahit and Koituras have started to form. before the election of 1498, the party derived from the earlier Yrhiotis, Hitalf, has suprisingly disbanded, leading to an over 50% victory of Apsutiali Kirahit.

Locations of the Syim over the years

There have been seventeen diffrent Syim locations since 1423 A.Dyr, some of the most notable ones being a past Perhyh pub (7 election cycles), a ship (1 election cycle) and, for 8 days, on a field near Neuti, Tiban Province.

Currently, the Syim operates in a temporary place in Eria, Molius-Par Province, waiting for the plan to build the Mexyrhat Complex.
