Aristoamorian is the language spoken by Amoria's upper class. It is very closely related to Common Amorian, and sometimes mutually intelligible. However, it is considered a different language by some. It has only 2 native speakers still alive, but is often used as a government language of Amoria in documentation and internal government action.

History

Aristoamorian evolved out of Young Amorian and split from Common Amorian around 150 years ago. This happened because of a very sudden and very vast separation of classes in Amoria around 200 years ago. The socioeconomic gap was already growing, but when Amoria conquered a peninsula rich with Reyyn, the metal used for Amoria's currency, aristocrats and politicians in Amoria became several times richer than anyone else in Amorian history while the value of the Reyyn was simultaneously inflated so much that the average Amorian, who was not receiving new money from this peninsula, could hardly afford food, and if they could, they likely couldn't afford new clothing. This led to an era in Amorian history where the rich were so separated from everyday people that their language began to evolve differently. It became even more convoluted partially as an attempt to keep it exclusive.
When the Amorian Socialist Revolutions happened and ended Amoria's imperial era, much of the government and aristocracy was overthrown. The value of the Reyyn was redefined, now based on the value of fish, and the wealth gap was reduced dramatically. After the second revolution, not a single person grew up speaking Aristoamorian natively. 2 native speakers remain as they survived the second revolution 50 years ago.
