The Straits of Amuj are a pair of straits connecting the Amujan Sea and the Sea of Fortune. The northern strait, the Strait of Ngâji (Xindvâ: [ŋɑ.ʑi]), separates North Viren Island from the Kuzhgub Peninsula, while the southern strait, the Strait of Zangkhin (Xindvâ: [zæŋ.xɪn]), separates South Viren Island from the mainland Land of Chaos.
Ngâji derives from the former South Amujan city of Ngauzichig, while Zangkhin derives from the territory of Zanrynjaung, both adapted to the Xindvâ language.
