The Slab Exchange is a protected building west of Nguhtropolis. It is home to the stockpile of the officially-regulated currency of the Old Kingdom, the Slab.

History

The Slab Exchange was constructed to serve as an indestructible central hub for the storage, transfer, and production of "Slabs" and their "Slablet" denominations. This currency was initially only briefly used for trade and commerce, especially in 2022. After The Raid the Slab currency became devalued and remained fully unused for a long time, leaving behind the Slab Exchange as a monument to the old order.

The Slab would later experience a resurgence, with more and more countries now either adopting it as their national currency, or basing their currency on the Slab.

The Exchange also houses armor and relics from the previous world.

On a mountain west of the Exchange lies an abandoned castle, which was recently annexed by the Exchange as it continues to solidify its grasp on Old Kingdom territory.
