The Flame Call

The Flame Call, also known as the Flame Carrying Call, was a 398-hour long Discord VC call held in the #minecraft voice chat server in Nguhcord. The call started on 28 February 2026, as part of the organisation of the 2025 Nguhrovision Song Contest, and finished on 17 March 2026. During the course of the call, several events happened on the server, including the aforementioned Nguhrovision sound contest, and the 26th Meeting of the United Ŋations, that despite happening on another channel, did not kill the call.

Timeline

The event started on 28 February, when after Nguhrovision, some people carried on the call as an afterparty. During the night, user Nahia stayed overnight, streaming minecraft with a death screen. The next day, a new wave of users joined the call, making it surpass 24 hours eventually. Gradually, users wanted to keep the call going, and a relay of users started in order to keep the VC "active" permanently. Many users came and went through the relay, and in some points the voicechat was truly active during that time. Notably, on 15 March 2026, the 26th meeting of the United Ŋations happened on the UŊ voice channel. Despite this, people stayed on the minecraft channel to keep the relay on. Eventually, during the morning UTC of 17 March 2026, Daybreaker, who was alone on VC at that time, suffered an internet cut, which ended the call, finishing an 18 day streak of continuous voice chat.
