Ruôy Rûdak (/ˈɹuː.woj ˈɹuː.dæk/, Xindvâ: [rʊə̯j rɨ.dæk] "Bamboo Bay", Japanese: 竹湾(ルオイ・ルダク) Ruoi Rudaku /ɾɯoi ɾɯdakɯ/) is a town in Bonbon Prefecture in northern Aylongam, on the shores of Guhâr Nhem. It is the oldest player-established settlement in Aylongam, and the current home of Quing Zendrid. The town was the site of the first plantings of cherry and mangrove trees in the nation following the Nguhcraft Spring. Ruôy Rûdak's most notable strucutre is Khaim and Nuyxo Towers, which serve both as the entrance to the town's docks and as a highly visible landmark that identifies the town from a distance.

History

Ruôy Rûdak's Cenrail station

When Zendrid first spawned on Ŋearth in February 2024, they sought to settle in a bamboo forest near a snowcapped mountain, and found such a place near a lake in southeast Thasusa, which would later be called Guhâr Nhem, Xindvâ for "Black Lake" in reference to the squids that often beached themselves on the shore, providing a source of ink. Upon landing on the lakeshore they built a small stilted hut on the edge of the water to keep themselves out of reach of monsters. This house was eventually torn down during the construction of the town's customs and post office. Over the following weeks a small farm was made and construction began on Khaim Tower.

Panda breeding incident

In late February and early March, Zendrid had acquired two pandas as companions. Over the course of the month of May, the bears began mysteriously multiplying, going from three at the start of the month to eleven in early June, at which point Zendrid discovered that Elisa of Fishland had been breeding them in secret. As she had previously expressed interest in buying one, Zendrid offered to sell her a panda for 10 diamonds to stop the rampant breeding, which she accepted. The panda population in Ruôy Rûdak has been stable since.
