Modern French is the form of French spoken in the modern day, rather than the form of French which gave rise to Ultra French and the other Pisco-Imerchali languages. It is also the ancestor of Quarry French.


Phonology

Modern French is a back-heavy language. Modern speakers prefer the uvular fricative realization of French's whatever rhotic. Nasal lax vowels are also very common.
