Nozomi Caramella is a member of the Galaxy System. She also goes by "Nozomi I", but this name is Nguhcraft-exclusive.

She was the member of the Galaxy System who was active at the time they joined Nguhcraft, so she requested that she be declared the leader of the ŋation they started. The rest of the system was fine with this. This is the out-of-universe explanation for her declaration as ruler of Rauratoshan.

Rauratoshan's Quing Regent

Nozomi became Quing Regent of Rauratoshan after the Rauratoshanian Incursion inflicted by the MMM caused the Rauratoshanian crown to be missing its family. It is believed that the crown prince is somewhere, lost in the multiverse, but King Remy III definitely died in the incursion. Nozomi Caramella was chosen to be quing of the country, given she was already governor of one of its districts, during the following Tanasótan. While this technically marks a new dynasty, Quing Nozomi did not declare a new dynasty upon her ascension, which is only one of many controversial moves by this quing:

Controversial political decisions made by Nozomi I

  • Not declaring a new dynasty of the Rokaselan calendar during her ascension, unlike any preceding monarch from a new family.
  • Not ordering the Sculkblight Catalyzer, originally the Azeria Undead Farm, be destroyed. The calls for this came from Rauratoshan's own royal offices after it was determined that the sculk of the deep dark is likely the same stuff as the sculkblight mentioned in Korongrafi myths, but Quing Nozomi refused to act, even after it was renamed to its present title.
  • Declaring Golden Day a ŋational holiday occurring on June 15 (25 Rekarita). Kanvas generally did not trust piglins following their incursion, but some, including Quing Nozomi, believe this is undue racism.
  • Declaring Jamie Dragin ambassador to the allowed to make votes on behalf of Rauratoshan. While this decision was officially explained to have been done to foster cooperation of Rauratoshan and Elemental City, monarchy-loyalists believe this position should have been given to a native nobleperson of Rauratoshan, rather than an elected official of Elemental City. Elemental City's Conservative Party also opposes this decision, but on partisan lines, as Mayor Dragin is of an opposing party to them.
  • Drafting the Constitution of Rauratoshan and turning Rauratoshan into a parliamentary monarchy, rather than an absolute one. This was also explained to have been a move done to better incorporate Elemental City's mostly-sovereign government into the kingdom, and Nozomi also cites the Kingdom of Kyaw Cen, a long-lasting and powerful native country to Nguhcraft. This decision is also very favorable to politically-minded citizens such as Hira Ayemânsu of the MMM. However, loyalists and noblepersons cite this and the previous decision as "Elemental ideals of democracy" blinding the quing regent to "her divine right to rule, a gift from Selshan Téshika Téraza Télíta themself."
    • Conversely, the parliamentary monarchy model is also criticized for being too conservative by people such as the Socialist Workers Party; the fact that the quing regent retains any power at all under such a system is seen as counterproductive to its democratic prospects.
