Fun Box
The Fun Box, officially the Fun Box Penitentiary (Hycenian: Jkjïxmi Ωгɑẟ Δɒmaτi, lit. "Happy Swimming Room") is an experimental prison located underneath Hycenon. Submerged in the waters of the Gulf of Kozdenen, it is a 5x4x6 block room flooded with water and surrounded on all 6 faces with locked barrels. The prisoner is made to sleep in a bed situated at the exterior corner of the box, placing them within it. Since it is flooded, the prisoner eventually drowns, respawning them inside the Fun Box. Empirically, it is an avant-garde variant of solitary confinement techniques with elements of waterboarding involved. However, it is not used for torture, nor is it an enhanced interrogation technique.
The purpose of the Fun Box is to confine prisoners for a specified amount of time as an alternative for other criminal punishments. Pepter felt encouraged to construct the Fun Box after watching a trial in which someone was sentenced to pay a fine equivalent to half of all the slabs in circulation in the whole ŋorld, seeing the box as a reasonable and entertaining alternative that encourages rehabilitation of criminals.
It was noted that the mechanisms of the Fun Box could be entirely circumvented, therefore it rests upon the principle that serving one's time completely can commute alternative sentences completely. In other words, failure to comply with incarceration in the Fun Box for the specified time period would warrant the original sentence being carried out.
