Tukisagya (Lunarian 󴑔󴕉󴑲󴕔󴒔󴔩󴒂󴑬󴕤 Tukǝsaɟɟɇ) is the homeworld of the Tukisagyan species, one of three that make up the core of the Kardonian Empire.

Homeworld conditions

Tukisagya is ultimately part of the star system of the star Amaterifwyna (󴔬󴐅󴖇󴑔󴔴󴔄󴔹󴒊󴕼󴐜󴔬 Amɏteriƨʉna), a 1.136 MSun main sequence star also called Amateri for short. However, Tukisagya's orbital parent is not Amaterifwyna, but instead the brown dwarf Ashwipara (󴕜󴒴󴔼󴑁󴔪󴔄󴔬 Ⱥsjipara), a 15.7 MJov stellar object orbiting Amateryfwuna at a distance of 1.432 astronomical units. As their parent is a brown dwarf, Tukisagya and its siblings are considered planets of Ashwipara, and potentially moons with relation to Amaterifwyhna. Ashwipara is also known as "the Iron Eye", as due to its surface temperature of 1424 K, Ashwipara glows red hot.

Tukisagya

Tukisagya is the second of four major planets of Ashwipara, orbiting at a distance of 2,000,700 km. Its mass is 0.6212 MEarth. Generally, this is small enough to potentially pose a problem for habitability, as while such a planet does have a molten core, its magnetic field is weaker than Earth's. Fortunately, Ashwipara's own magnetic field also helps protect the planet from radiation. It's also tidally locked to Ashwipara, though this does mean it's not tidally locked with respect to Amaterifwyna. Therefore, Tukisagya's day is a full three Earth days - specifically, 78 hours 7 minutes.

Tukisagya's axial tilt is also quite high and variable, between 11.3° and 56.5° cycling every 444,000 years, not unlike the planet Mars. Presently, obliquity is intermediate, at 33.7° and rising. Partially as a result, it's also currently in the glacial period of an ice age.

The other planets

Tukisagya is in resonance with every other major planet of Ashwipara; it is 2:3 with Hiruko (󴖔󴔼󴔅󴕗󴑴󴕄 Hirǝko), 2:1 with Sahnuwunga (󴒔󴕜󴐉󴔑󴕏󴐜󴔬 Sⱥnuwunga), and 4:1 with Katucchi (󴑴󴔬󴑑󴕊󴑤󴒥󴔿 Katucshi). Hiruko and Katucchi are about Mars-sized, while Sahnuwunga is nearly four times Mars's size. This, plus Ashwipara itself, causes tremendous tidal forces on Tukisagya; on average the planet receives twice as much energy from tidal heating as from Amaterifwyhna. This also has the effect of causing considerable volcanism; while there are two continents on Tukisagya, one polar continent and one more temperate continent that straddles the other polar region, a decent amount of the land of the planet is created by this mechanism, growing both continents slightly beyond their fault lines and creating islands and hotspot[1]s.

Sapient species

Tukisagya is inhabited by so-called "moon rabbits." These are humanoid beings with rabbit-like features, namely long ears and short, fluffy tails.

Notably, thanks to a litany of features including the low mass of Tukisagya and its ongoing ice age promoting the development of megafauna, moon rabbits are significantly larger than either other major species of the Kardonian Empire, averaging 200cm (6'7") tall, albeit with decently large variation.

Cultures

Tukisagyan moon rabbit culture is dominated by the Holy Sjekɇy Kingdom, which formed in the Sjekɇy Peninsula and grew to encompass almost the entirety of the planet. Somewhat like a miniature version of the Kardonian Empire the planet is a part of, other lands are still considered vassals to Sjekɇy, though unlike the wider Empire, Sjekɇy are firmly anti-federation and are more hands-on with their approach to administration.

This does not mean Tukisagya is a planet of hats per se, though.
