Rauratoshan Office of the Frontier

The Rauratoshan Office of the Frontier is a crown court of the Rauratoshan Kingdom. It is the ultimate executor of policies of immigration, emigration, customs, and so on, though usually subsidiaries do that work more directly.

Its current chairwoman is Karen Jintanik, a high-ranking member of the Rauratoshan Royal Table's House Jintanik. Chairwoman Jintanik is known for sending hundreds of angry letters at anything that annoys her. Most notably, this included 648 angry phone calls sent to filibuster Parliamentary discussion of the RRS Setlan, ultimately causing the role of Ambassador to Maraśa to not be filled for a while longer.

Role

The Office of the Frontier is considered a "non-combat branch of the Rauratoshan Royal Army", meaning its budget and abilities are based on those of the military. On paper, the commander-in-chief of Rauratoshan's army is the quing regent. However, the chairman of the ROOF can unilaterally act on behalf of the Quing Regent on such matters, directing their generals to wage war. The chairman cannot make warmongering orders without either an official declaration by the quing regent or a direct, military attack on Rauratoshanian soil being perpetrated by another party.
