The Selshan Digest (Rokadong: Selshan Neshayan[1]) is a magazine who shares an office in the town of Ruviyatangan with the Ruviyatangan Ŋorld-Herald. The two organizations also share a web provider, such that they use similar URLs.
Activities
The Selshan Digest organization publishes a magazine of the same name, which is essentially a tabloid magazine. The Selshan Digest does publish some real information about astronomical phenomena and pop science about astronomy, but began its life as a Yukacan-adjacent horoscope, and nowadays plays host to all sorts of metaphysical observations made by the Selshan Digest's retinue of diviners, including but not limited to both explanations of how past events turned out and predictions of how future events may turn out based on astrology, the staff supposedly establishing contact with spirits, and so on. Therefore, even though the Selshan Digest does publish plenty of things that could be useful to academics, they are not seen as a reputable source by the RARK.
The Selshan Digest's office also hosts Ruviyatangan's Star-Path Minigame, which in effect is a magic 8-ball; it is a statue of an avatar of Nuiceta that will answer any yes-or-no question for ₻1. Questioners are encouraged to ask again if the avatar's answer is vague or to ask follow-up questions, for another ₻1 payment, of course. They can also ask the diviners themselves the same question to see what they think of it, but this will cost ₻6.
