Server Rules

The server rules are the rules one is expected to follow in all activities in and around the Nguhcraft server. This wiki is intended to contain a fully updated list of all the rules a player must follow in the server. Violations of these rules may result in removal or rejection of a claim, or a ban from the Minecraft and Discord servers, depending on the rule.

Most of these rules fall out naturally from the Discord server rules, but there are also a few Minecraft-specific ones.

Server Rules

  1. All of the Discord server rules naturally apply to the Minecraft server as well.
  2. No stealing.[1]
  3. No griefing.[1]
  4. Be respectful to other players, in particular:[1]
    1. When other players are engaging in an RP event such as a battle, refrain from causing unnecessary chaos or disrupting them; if you want to join in, talk to the others first. Failure to do so will result in a mute and a temporary ban from the MC server.
    2. Do not single out individual members and try to ban them from your ŋations. To elaborate, you are of course allowed to ban everyone else (or everyone except specific people you trust) from parts of your country (within reason, e.g. if you don’t want random people entering your warehouse or messing w/ some convoluted redstone contraption that they’d be likely to break, then that’s fine, but if it’s not a closed-off area, then everyone that can physically access it is allowed to do so). But you can’t single out individual people who haven’t done anything that’s against the server rules; if they have, e.g. if someone griefs something, then you should of course report them to us by opening a /ticket.
  5. Nothing that could lag or crash the server, e.g.
    1. chunk loaders;
    2. an excessive amount of entities (in particular, chickens);
    3. automatic farms that use water transport for items.
  6. No unreasonable or inactive claims. See Rules around Claims and Inactivity for more details.
  7. No unclaimed non-infrastructure builds (exemptions may apply). See Rules around Claims and Inactivity for more details.
  8. Lastly, what matters for all of these rules is the spirit, not the letter. That is, don’t try to be clever and argue ‘actually, according to my reading of the rules, I did nothing wrong’; that is not going to end well for you. When in doubt, ask before potentially committing a rules violation.

Other Rules

Laws of ŋations or organizations should be respected to the degree permitted by their owners, but failure to do so will not result in a ban unless there is also a violation of server rules. For more laws or rules, see:
