Soulroads

A soulroad is a road with a continuous pathway of soul sand or soul soil. The term was coined by Astaryuu to differentiate soulroads from other types of road, such as Kozdenenite roads and footpaths.
Soulroads' benefit over footpaths is that if the player has the readily-accessible Soul Speed enchantment, they will move faster than normal on them.
Design notes
- Continuous means continuous. If the player steps off the soul valley material for more than a couple frames, they will lose the speed-up, which is a jarring effect to have happen repeatedly. Not to mention it's simply slower.
- If the road must curve, then soul sand/soil blocks that are catty-cornered must have at least 3 blocks meet at the corner, so that the road is continuous.
- To go up or down a hill, one can use slabs with soul sand or soul soil underneath. Since your feet are still within the block above the soul soil/soul sand, Soul Speed will continue working. Stairs will not work, as when you are on the top step, you are not on the block above the soul sand or soul soil, and will lose the speed-up.
- Soul soil works better than soul sand. However, due to pre-Nguhcraft Vasanta difficulties in procuring large amounts of soul soil, some roads might be using soul sand.
