Fortsanaphat (/fɔɹtˈsænəˌfɑt/; Kilvanan: Forcanaƕat /fort͡sanaɸat/) is a ŋation in Archipelagia bordering the Evil Scamming Country, the Evil Sqamming Country, the Hertskomestat Syndicate, and Frossantiquervrâssonne by land, and Kaipa by sea. Its capital is Kilvana.

As a result of the original poll for adding Fortsanaphat having two "yes" options, it was added to the UnUŊ twice.

Etymology

The Kilvanan name Forcanaƕat is derived from forc, meaning snow, and -anaƕat, the classifier for ŋations. The English name is borrowed from the Kilvanan.

Geography

Kilvana

Kilvana is the central territory of Fortsanaphat. It is a snowy region. It is the ŋation's current capital.

Forcana

Forcana is located between Kilvana and Lisr. It is an icy region. It was the capital of the ŋation before Kween K. Auce's rule. The largest plurality of the ŋation's feline population reside in Forcana, though Forcana has a lower proportion of felines to other sapients than Kilvana.

Lisr

Lisr is the northernmost territory of Fortsanaphat. It is a volcanic region. It is where the bulk of the ŋation's kobold population resides.

Umotazva

Umotazva is the southernmost territory of Fortsanaphat. It is a forested region. It is also where all of the ŋation's villagers reside, as well as the majority of the humans.

History

Pre-K. Auce

Before Kween K. Auce took power, Fortsanaphat was a flawed democracy. It also did not control the territories of Umotazva or Lisr. The capital was Forcana.

Due to large volumes of trade with Kilvana before their union as well as significant Kilvanan influence in the ŋation after the union, Kilvanan gradually displaced Forcanan as the ŋational language.

K. Auce's rule

After Kween K. Auce took power, she made it impossible for her to be removed from power legally. She would go on to take over the independent ŋations of Umotazva to the south and Lisr to the north. She would move the capital to Kilvana due to its now more central location, and to give her hometown more importance.

Allegedly, she would capture Queen katherine Awesome of Kathyria, envious of the way she was practically worshipped by her people. Even after Kween K. Auce's assassination, the former queen of Kathyria is nowhere to be found.

The Kilvanan Khaos Alliance grew in power to become the ŋational military and police force. All languages other than Kilvanan were heavily suppressed.

The state has frequently gone after foreign reporters and news agencies covering the ŋation's flaws, in particular Missing Journalists, the most popular of these news agencies.

Post-K. Auce

After Kween K. Auce's death, the ŋation entered a state of anarchy. The Kilvanan Khaos Alliance is unable to keep the protestors down.

Politics

Fortsanaphat is a non-constitutional monarchy. The queen (Kilvanan: Wyŋk) has absolute control over everything, and cannot be removed from power.

Citizens have very few rights; however, of the citizens, female Kilvanan felines have the closest to basic human rights of all citizens, and Azvan humans have the fewest rights. Villagers are not considered citizens. This has caused much instability, particularly in the south, where all of the ŋation's villagers live.
