A picture of the Burnt House upon its first discovery after The Raid.

The Burnt House (Śácamþaśá: jSowIwImu Muweweśáj) is a Pre-Raid Paulological structure in the area formerly belonging to Þunan Qumreá. It is the namesake of Muweweśáj province. The house itself was destroyed during The Raid, leaving only its deepslate roof, tuff floor, a handful of furniture pieces and the windows. By its northern entrance is a nether portal and a series of 1x1 block underground tunnels. A few additional tunnels are found further south, not connected to the main network.

Origin

Scientists of Þunan Qumreá began theorising as to the origins of the structure almost immediately, long before the field of Paulology was well-established. Due to the dimensions of the tunnels, they labelled it of dwarven construction, assuming that the dwarves had eventually escaped to the Nether. No structures were ever found on the other side of the portal. No Pre-Raid nguhcrafters could remember its name or who built it, nor even anyone who had settled in the region. The nearly perfectly square walls of a dirt hill in Śyjeń that would become The Temple to Earth was presumed to have been built by the same person.

On the 26th of July, 2024, Katherine gamed for the first time in nearly two years, and spawned inside the Burnt House with no recollection of having created it. Due to her lack of memory, restoring the Burnt House (as had been done for Lobster Island) was impossible, and so it was left as-is. On the 2nd of November 2025, while attempting to find the original name and builder of Steve, Hilja stumbled across a screenshot of the Burnt House with walls dating back to December 2022[1], thus allowing for its partial reconstruction again. As the house is now in the territory of Xarslasja following the Reintegration Sessions, it is up to Agamashuya to decide whether or not to restore it.

Impact

As the sole Pre-Raid structure in Þunan Qumreá, the discovery of the Burnt House had a profound psychological impact on its inhabitants. This is what resulted in the province of Muweweśáj being named after it. Its burning led to the region being associated with deepslate and ash (Śácamþaśá: jAfo Fája) and thus the later name of the town Fájaþáw which was built around it, as well as the Ashway running through it. The Temple to the Sun was built inside Fájaþáw due to its association with ash and fire.
