Sirenguard, officially known as Sirenguard Autonomous District (Sirenian: Kěhtpǒkkœ̄hŋtōn'ēhŋ Sajrengaht /χèːt̚.pòk̚.χɔ̄ːŋ.tōn.ēːŋ saj.ren.kaːt̚/) is an autonomous district belonging to Imerchal, located west of Imerchal in the Central Sea. The district is well-known for being underground.

Etymology

The name "Sirenguard" came from the belief that a siren named Rose Colrest has lead her son and the founder of the nation northward onto an uninhabited island known back then as Prefecture of Echnépelle. Rose then guarded her son from dangers until he had established the settlement.

Geography

Sirenguard is set on a relatively small island between a Deep Lukewarm Ocean Biome and Lukewarm Ocean Biome. Due to the island's small size, most Sirenguardeds live underground, where they've built a settlement from a mine. Although, efforts has been made to expand the overground section of Sirenguard.

Wildlife

Due to Sirenguard being in an ocean biome, no wildlife can spawn. Cat sometime spawns within the village boundary of Parkow, Sirenguard. In the ocean surrounding Sirenguard, squids, tropical fish, dolphin, pupperfish, and drowneds also spawn.

History

Pre-Imerchal/Roseline

The island before Imerchali settlement

Sirenguard was settled by an unknown party on an unknown date, presumably in 2023. Sirenguard was rediscovered by Gweng on 30th January 2024[2], in which he looted a few items from the chest[3][4]. The island contained multiple oak trees, 2 double chests, 1 stonecutter, 1 bed[5], and might've contained other workbenches[6]. There was a large platform made of cobblestone slab, 4 dirt, and water. Possibly an attempt at building a farm or used to be a farm but was griefed during the Raid. The island was annexed as an Imerchali overseas territory on 8th February 2024[7]. All traces of the original Paulological site has been demolished by Stemon. The paulological name for Pre-Imerchal Sirenguard is "Roseline".

Settlement

In-Game

Stemon settled on Sirenguard during an unknown date in February 2025, being granted autonomy by Imerchal. The island was called Echnepèl before being renamed to "Sirenguard", based on the original Þaj name "Nàhkkûm" (นาคคุ้ม) lit. 'Protected by Naga', which were loosely calqued into English as "Sirenguard". Later, the original Þaj name was lost to time.

Lorewise

The government of Imerchal has a program to settle on the island of Echnepèl and sent a ship full of settlers. A storm which was heading towards the ship mysteriously changed course. A young man named Simon Borsièr (later Stemon Worshere) then claimed that he is "the son of a Siren named Rose Colrest" and that "the ship was guarded by the Siren", leading people to believe and picked him as the leader. On the next day, the settlers mysteriously forgot Occitan and Mosici, somehow becoming fluent in English and Þaj, which added to Simon's miraculous nonsense. The rest of Imerchal was very confused to found out that the Occitan and Mosici-speaking settlers somehow speak none of those languages[8]. The island was named "Sirenguard" to honor the Siren.

Migration into the underground

The island of Sirenguard is relatively small. So the government of Sirenguard decided to move the entire island into the mine. By 29th of March, Sirenguard is completely moved underground. Later, programs are introduced to migrate onto the overground again.

The Democracy Arc

Main article: Sirenguarded Democracy Arc

During the later half of June 2025, the government of Imerchal began cracking down on Stemon's tomfoolery, including violations of guaranteed rights in the Villager Trading Hall. In which President Stemon Worshere was forced to resign from presidency. Cassandra Watkins, the acting president, later committed treason and attempted to join the Kyawcenni Realm, which was quickly vetoed and she was arrested during the speech. Stemon later won the elections because people are stupid.

Language

Sirenguard has no official languages. Though most of the population speaks English and Sirenian, with English being the working language. Toki Pona and Kyawcenni are spoken in Kirin canton and Myranian in Myrania canton.

Politics

Government

Sirenguard was a total dictatorship led by StemonWasHere. Currently, Sirenguard is a Parliamentary Republic. With seats being distributed between 12 parties.

Administrative Divisions

Sirenguard tried very hard to avoid administrative divisions. Despise it's small size, Sirenguard has 5 administrative divisions, called "Canton":

Economy

Sirenguard has a growing economy. It has multiple farms and a trading hall. Since most of Sirenguard is underground, it is rich in minerals and stone, but lacks wood to work with. With the only reliable wood source being the small-scale automated bamboo farm. Most business in Sirenguard is own by the conglomerate Rose Corp. With competitors "struggling" to compete due to the "brand loyalty".

Military

Sirenguard does not have it's own military. Though it has the Sirenguarded Floodgate as it's defense mechanism against threats.
