How to use the launchers? - Official AA Guide

Pre-HD models

The general rule is to always place the minecart opposite of the detector rail, otherwise the minecart could trigger the 12-tick countdown (after which the loop is rerouted to the ramp, making the cart fly), potentially leaving you with not enough airspeed velocity to reach the next landing pad. Worth to note that most 2-way launchers solve that issue by having a dedicated place for placing minecarts that gets you into the loop at the correct angle.

2-way Launcher (AA-2.01)

Flip the lever so that it faces towards the direction of your choice, place the minecart on the opposite end of the loop from the activator rail and press W to launch.

2x1-way Launcher (AA-1.02)
