Stej Ven is an island country located in the far southwest of the map. The name means "birch land" in Stejvenni. The capital is Sta Wejs. There are two villages located on the island. The eastern village is named Dalby and the western one is named Namnoji. The official languages are Stejvenni and Swedish. Stej Ven also has two territories that are not located near the main island, namely the Gagma Balls Territory, which is located in the desert east of spawn, and Saiŋt Pierre and Ɱiqueloŋ, located south of Renoriba.
Name
The name Stej Ven means "birch land" in Stejvenni. The pronunciation in Stejvenni is /ˌstej ˈven/. The name is somewhat of a pun on Kyaw Cen, as the word for birch (ven) was picked so that the name would sound similar to Kyaw Cen.
History
Stej Ven was founded and applied to the UŊ on 1 April 2024. However, the construction of Sta Wejs had started some time earlier, shortly after the Nguhcraft Spring. A small section in the east of the island had been inside the world border before the Nguhcraft Spring, but the rest only became accessible after. Viklo, who had previously lived in Birchill, moved to Stej Ven when the rest of the island became accessible.
The first structure constructed was the Birch Tower of Sta Wejs, which is a recreation and adaptation of the Birch Tower of Birchill. The Stejvenni outposts were also constructed early on, as well as the transportation hut in Sta Wejs, opposite the Birch Tower. The Venrail N1 line was constructed on the Nether roof to connect Birchill to Sta Wejs so that items could be transported from Birchill to Sta Wejs.
The Archipelago Line between Stej Ven and Faeran was for the most part constructed in late May and early June of 2024, but it was not until September 2024 that the station at the Faeran end was built.
Geography
Stej Ven is an island that is split roughly in half by a large valley, the Vysur Valj Vystejven. The valley is really a river biome where a section of the river is missing, connecting the two halves by land. The western half is called Cisvalj, and the eastern half is called Transvalj. There is a mountain located in the centre of the island, with Sta Wejs located on top of it. There is another mountain located in the west of the island, and both mountains are located in Cisvalj. There are two villages on the island: Dalby, which is located in the Vysur Valj Vystejven, and Namnoji, which is located west of the western mountain.
Most of the area around the mountains is either a plains biome or a meadow biome. In the north, there is a birch forest and a regular forest, and in the south-west there is another regular forest and a spruce forest. Almost all of Transvalj is forested, with most of it being regular forest, but the north of Transvalj contains a spruce forest and a birch forest.
