The Principality of Avenyam, known locally as Hakňestvo Aven'amav (Хакњѥство Авэнꙗмав) /xa'kɲɛs.tvɔ a.vɛnʲ'a.mav/ is a thalassocratic nation in southwestern Archipelagia. It's a member state of UnUŊ and a proud owner of its own transit company, Avenyan Airways, which focuses on air travel utilizing minecart launchers. Avenyam was founded on 11th February 2026 following the dissolution of the temporary South Archipelagian state and the crowning of its current ruler, hakňeź Ag̀enćak (Polish: Agenciak, Cyrillic Avenyan: Aґэнћꙗк).
Name
Hakňestvo Aven'amav is derived from the word Aven'a, which originally comes from proto-slavic *vojinъ, meaning 'warrior'. While officially, Avenyan people are called Avenyans, sometimes they're referred to as Avenyas or Aveny (the plural form of Aven'a in Avenyan Creole), it's often viewed as a more formal way.

Geography
Avenyam is located in southwestern Archipelagia, it seperates the Western Sea and the Sea of a Hundred Winds, the Northern Gates and Southern Gates are two straits on their respective extreme point of the realm. The Fjard Wilderness seperates Avenyan mainland from that of Stej Ven, its maritime neighbor.

History (in and out of lore)
Founding and initial consolidation
The concept of an Avenyan state first appeared in early February of 2026, that's when the Provisional Government of South Archipelagia (PGSA) was founded, centered on the old town of Eźrop'ort (Эз́ропëрt), the government quickly took control of its claimed territories and proceeded to start laying foundations for a more permanent solution. On 11th February, PGSA announced the following:
Today, at 5pm local time, the council that administered what became known as "South Archipelagia" declared that the regency period is over and from now on, the nation shall be known as хакњѥство Авэнꙗмав (hakňestvo Aven'amav, eng.: principality of Avenyam). A хакњѥз́ (hakňeź, eng.: prince) has been chosen to rule the realm. An official standard proudly flies over the old church tower in a local village, the temporary seat of the monarchy.
As consolidation and centralization efforts began to reach their goals, a permanent government can now exert control over all of its dominions and begin functioning on the international stage.
Official statement from the хакњѥз́:
Our nation is looking forward to cooperating with other states and will soon open up alliance negotiations, our economy is growing steadily and will in no time guarantee prosperity to all citizens. Plans for a capital city are currently being drafted and are going to begin their initial phases in the following weeks.
Shortly after the announcement, construction efforts for the (now capital) city of Amužarđ began coming to life, along with the collection of necessary resources. New projects consisted infrastructure efforts across the nation as well, including the constriction of several major roads, bridges and ports in particular the Avenyan trail, connecting the northernmost and southernmost points of the country (Eźrop'ort and Amužarđ).
Eventually, Amužarđ became the new center of public interest and the seat of the Royal Advisory Council, it was soon to be titled as the new capital city, which heavily troubled the northern regions of Avenyam, as they no longer held much significance, significant public unrest followed.
Creation of AA and the first public transit projects
Eventually, the company of Avenyan Airways was founded, the first (now scrapped) line was constructed but deemed too dangerous. After several major technological advancements, the first safe line (Oceanic Line) connected B'ǫt'e Hotrevo with the capital. It was later expanded to reach Eźrop'ort and Sandwich Islands as well.
The Avenyan Line, constructed right after, brought Cenrail connection and linked what was later to become Hakfiđarđ with Amužarđ.
Expansion period and internal struggles
Once Avenyam began functioning like a proper state, it annexed the formerly Kiiamic town of Port Aamin as well as a few borderirng islands. The action went unopposed by the (at that time still existing) government of Paz Kiiam.
To guarantee the safety of the mainland, a border state (bažarg̀rev'stvo - 'northern margravate') was founded on Hotrevo Ožalav (Eagle Island).
Avenyam joined both UNg and unUNg and took part in the 15.03.26 UNg meeting, no votes were cast against the majority. The hakňeź shared a selfie next to the representatives of Imerchal and Caluta.
Eźrop'ort riots
On the night from 24.03.26 to 25.03.26, major protests broke out following the assasination of a Szczupakist preacher in the northern city.
Ščupakist priest attacked in Eźrop'ort
Earlier today a preacher of Ščupak was violently attacked by a group of Ætérnalist locals which disagreed with the teachings of the not that popular in the far north religion, healthcare specialists are not sure if the victim is going to make it due to how heavy the injuiries are. This is the first time a religious figure was attacked in the city and the event is causing considerable outrage among the population of Amužarđ, which has been a center of Ščupakism ever since it appeared in the country. A prayer is to be held at Nuv'e Bałđmo cathedral to bless the health of the martyred priest as protests erupt in front of government buildings to demand heavy punishments for the offenders. The situation has become a matter of debate in the state; should the verdict be more severe due to the victim being a religious figure? The Royal Advisory Council has planned a meeting to resolve the issue tomorrow.

The protests were significantly worsened by the fact that a mob marching from the capital wanted to seize the offenders and punish them accordingly, this could not be allowed to happen due to the fear of a wide scale uprising or even an ochlocratic power grab.
Local government at Eźrop'ort threatens to use military force against protesters Following the attack and death of a Ščupakist religious figure in the city, the local government can no longer guarantee the safety of Ætérnalists which are being pursued in retaliation by the mob that has been collecting in the central square for the past hour. The threat to deploy professional troops is hoped to be enough for the protests to halt. In the meantime it is recommended to stay at home. The procession in Amužarđ amasses more and more followers, as icons of the preacher are being carried along to the cathedral, various shouts directed to non-believers begin to be heard. Pre-emptive calls are being made to cancel the march or limit its size in fear of a riot happening.
Shortly after, the news of armed forces mobilizing were made official.
Hakfiđarđ castle locks gates as the Avenyan military begins to mobilize "just in case"
Units of the B'eźv'e Ardy are called to their posts in the middle of the night in response to Eźrop'ort riots, an official statement from the Department of National Safety cites:
"We will peacefully assert control over the situation, as long as both parties are ready to stand down, no harm shall happen."
Riots in Eźrop'ort show no slowing down, as parts of the crowd seem to begin arming themselves.
The Royal Advisory Council reschedules its planned meeting to happen within a few minutes due to how urgent the matters have turned.
Many news outlets quickly picked on the matter due to this being the first instance of the Avenyan military and particularly the Royal Guards regiment, being used against civilians. Mass hysteria followed as the units began a violent crackdown, lasting all night. A media blackout was issued by the Royal Advisory Council, it was to be lifted only next day, reporting on a successful deescalation.
Later history
Avenyam provided aid to Xarslasja during the Santa Cruz county crisis in the form of the KBA Agvid'a aircart carrier, loaded with food and a field hospital on board.
Military
Royal Navy of Avenyam
The naval arm operates several copper-armored redstone airships, constructed and armed by AA. Each battleship is constructed locally in Avenyan dockyards.
Army and Lid'ardy Regiment
"Ground" forces operate by the unique doctrine of deploying via AA minecart launchers. The Flying Guards regiment (Pilg̀ Lid'en Ardy, commonly shortened to "Lidardy") is a veteran unit, first testing out and honing such techniques. The B'eźv'e Ardy (Royal Guards) units handle protection of important officials, including the country's ruler.

Avenyam has for centuries been a land inhabited by various religious belief systems that coexisted peacefully, allthough recent developments majorly impacted the situation, the cult of Ščupak was accepted by the hakňeź, who eventually funded the construction of the Nuve Bałđm'o cathedral in the capital. Majority of the state accepted the new national religion, Eźrop'ort remains the last major stronghold of Ætérnalism in the country.
