Yuma County (Arodjun: Feunau Juma) is one of the thirteen Counties of Xarslasja and by far the most populated.

It contains all of the region known as Core Xarslasja, including Yuma, Tempe, Quartzsite, Blythe, Oracle, Laughlin, and Payson and is home to hundreds of villagers. The county seat is in Yuma, which is also the de jure capital of the nation, as it is the site of the original government at Fort Yuma, as well as the headquarters of the Xarslasja Legislative Authority.

In the Xarslasja Legislature (2024-2026), Yuma County had by far the highest representation, with 6 seats.

Transit

The county has lots of transit options, including three ports, 3 horse stables, two ghastports, and over a dozen rail stops, all of which meet up at Yuma Nexus.

Economy

The economy in Yuma County is primarily industrial, service-based, and touristic. Originally the economic was primarily agrarian but this has gradually been phased out as the city grew. Some agriculture remains in Quartzsite.

Education

In September 2026, the Constituent Council of Yuma approved the creation and funding for a university in Yuma, to be called Djobom University, named after the Djobom Sea that its campus will be at the waterfront of. If constructed, this would mark the first state-sponsored educational institution in Xarslasja.

Government

Considered the most economically important county by the Xaudixuv, Yuma County receives the majority of government funding and has the largest board in the Council of Constituent Counties (CCC), at 29 members.

This is also the only county in which its polities have effectively run out of legal construction space, bound by the borders of Tonto National Forest and the South Mountain Ecological Preserve. As such, eminent domain movements to procure land have seen some success, and old one-story buildings are beginning to be purchased by the government to be converted into multi-story towers.
