Sirenguard, officially known as Sirenguard Autonomous District (Þaj: Kěhtpǒkkœ̄hŋtōn'ēhŋ Sājlēngǎht /xèːt̚.pòk̚.xɔ̄ːŋ.tōn.ēːŋ sāj.lēn.kàːt̚/) is an autonomous district belonging to Imerchal, located west of Imerchal in the Central Sea.

Etymology

The name "Sirenguard" came from the belief that a siren named Rose Colrest has lead her son and the founder of the nation northward onto an uninhabited island known back then as Prefecture of Echnépelle. Rose then guarded her son from dangers until he had established the settlement.

Geography

Sirenguard is a mostly underground country, with the average Sirenguarded admitting that they've never went to the "Overground". The overground section of Sirenguard is a small island, though attempts has been made to expand more onto the Overground.

History

Settlement

In-Game

Stemon settled on Sirenguard during an unknown date in February 2025, being granted autonomy by Imerchal. The island was called Echnepèl before being renamed to "Sirenguard", based on the original Þaj name "Nàhkkûm" (นาคคุ้ม) lit. 'Protected by Naga', which were loosely calqued into English as "Sirenguard". Later, the original Þaj name was lost to time.

Lorewise

The government of Imerchal has a program to settle on the island of Echnepèl and sent a ship full of settlers. A storm which was heading towards the ship mysteriously changed course. A young man named Simon Borsièr (later Stemon Worshere) then claimed that he is "the son of a Siren named Rose Colrest" and that "the ship was guarded by the Siren", leading people to believe and picked him as the leader. On the next day, the settlers mysteriously forgot Occitan and Mosici, somehow becoming fluent in English and Þaj, which added to Simon's miraculous nonsense. The rest of Imerchal was very confused to found out that the Occitan and Mosici-speaking settlers somehow speak none of those languages[2]. The island was named "Sirenguard" to honor the Siren.

Migration into the underground

The island of Sirenguard is relatively small. So the government of Sirenguard decided to move the entire island into the mine. By 29th of March, Sirenguard is completely moved underground. Later, programs are introduced to migrate onto the overground again.

The Democracy Arc

Main article: Sirenguarded Democracy Arc

During the later half of June 2025, the government of Imerchal began cracking down on Stemon's tomfoolery, including violations of guaranteed rights in the Villager Trading Hall. In which President Stemon Worshere was forced to resign from presidency. Cassandra Watkins, the acting president, later committed treason and attempted to join the Kyawcenni Realm, which was quickly vetoed and she was arrested during the speech. Stemon later won the elections because people are stupid.

The Great Heart Attack

After a culmination of Vitamin D deficiency, a lack of access to actual food, and being stuck in underground offices 24/7, the entire population of Sirenguard has simultaneously contracted cardiac arrest. The event was so catastrophic that not even paramedics and first responders were safe from it. This left sirenguard with only a single person in its population, Stemon.

Sirenguard has a growing economy. It has multiple farms and a trading hall. Since most of Sirenguard is underground, it is rich in minerals and stone, but lacks wood to work with. With the only reliable wood source being the small-scale automated bamboo farm.
